Parimatch roulette rules explained

Roulette rules are set by the wheel type and the bet, and most of them are the same from table to table. This page explains the wheel layouts, the main bets and their payouts, plus the points that vary between games.

HOW A SPIN WORKS

From stake to result

A player places a stake on one or more positions before the betting window closes. The wheel settles the spin, and each winning position pays its listed amount. Positions that do not win lose the stake, unless the table has a rule that returns part of it on zero.

WHEEL AND BETS

Wheel types and the main bet groups

A European wheel has 37 pockets, one of them zero. An American wheel has 38, with a double zero. The bet groups stay the same, but payouts and the house edge shift with the wheel.

  • European wheel

37 pockets, numbered 0 to 36. Single-zero tables carry a lower house edge than double-zero tables.

  • American wheel

38 pockets, numbered 0, 00 and 1 to 36. The extra pocket raises the house edge on almost every bet.

  • Inside bets

Bets on single numbers or small groups, such as splits and streets. A straight-up bet on one number pays 35 to 1.

  • Outside bets

Bets on colour, odd or even, high or low, and dozens or columns. They pay less but win more often.

House edge by wheel
EDGE AND RETURN

House edge by wheel

The house edge is the long-run share of each stake the house keeps. On a European single-zero wheel it is about 2.7 percent on most bets. On a double-zero wheel it is about 5.26 percent, which is why the wheel type matters.

  • Single-zero edge

About 2.70 percent on most bets, including red and black, on a European wheel.

  • Double-zero edge

About 5.26 percent on most bets on an American wheel. The five-number bet is worse, at about 7.89 percent.

  • Return to player

Return to player on a European wheel is about 97.3 percent over the long run. It is a theoretical average, not a promise for one session.

TABLE HELP

Checking a roulette table before you bet

Table information shows the wheel type, the stake limits and any special rules. Check those on the table before the first spin, because a rule can change how a bet settles.

  • Wheel type

Check whether the table is single-zero or double-zero. The table information should state it.

  • Stake limits

Minimum and maximum stakes are shown on the table. Check them before you sit down.

  • Special rules

Some tables return part of an even-money stake when zero comes up. Read the rule text before you bet on colour, odd or even.

TRUST

What to check on a live roulette table

Live roulette streams a real wheel and a dealer. Trust depends on the feed, the rules and the limits you set in your account.

  • The feed

The stream should show the wheel and the dealer in real time. A frozen feed or a delayed result is a reason to stop betting.

  • The rules page

Read the rules before the first spin. If the rules are missing, do not bet.

  • Your own limits

Set a deposit limit in your account, and choose how long you will sit at the table. Limits only help once they are active.

  • Age and eligibility

Reported terms prohibit anyone under 18 from using the service, so confirm your eligibility before you join a table.

House edge

QUESTIONS

Roulette questions answered

Answers on the standard game. Table rules can change the detail.

Is there a system that beats roulette?

No. Each spin is independent, and betting systems change how money moves, not the odds of the next spin.

Which bet has the best chance of winning?

Outside bets such as red or black win close to half the time on a single-zero wheel, but they pay even money. Chance and payout trade off against each other.

Is a double-zero wheel worse?

Yes. The extra pocket raises the house edge on almost every bet.

Does a hot number come up more often?

No. Past spins do not change the chance of the next one, so a run of one colour is coincidence.

Why do stake limits matter?

They set the smallest and largest bet a table allows. Check them before you sit down, because they shape how quickly a session can move.

What should I check first?

The wheel type, the stake limits, the special rules and the return figure if the table shows one.
